Making her way into the series in Tekken 5 (2004); Asuka has been a staple character since then. Having a strong will and boastful attitude, Asuka has made many rivals over the course of the series; with Feng Wei and Lili being her main targets. Her defensive style of fighting is one that takes advantage of opponents that attack relentlessly; having defensive options such as her naturally evasive moves and her most notable option being her parry/reversal. Having access to these tools will have your opponents constantly questioning whether or not they should attack at certain moment.
1. A great launcher giving good push back distance on block, putting her out of harms way against most characters punishers.
2. A great tool to keep the pressure on the opponent, leaving her with plus frames and negative for the opponent while also inducing a block stun when blocked and a launches upon counter hit.
3. One of her many good pokes used to condition the opponent to start blocking low.
4. When used properly, this move will make your opponent hesitant to attack due to the move being able to reverse high and mid punches or kicks. If the opponent expects the parry, they can wait till the animation is over and punish right after or they can reverse the reversal; commonly referred to as a "chicken". Refer to the Terminology page on how to perform a chicken.
