Devil Jin

Making a teaser appearance in Tekken 3 (1997) but not playable until Tekken 5 (2004); Devil Jin is the product of Jin Kazama's Devil Gene that runs in the Mishima and Hachijo bloodline. Devil Jin's fighting style references Jin Kazama's old Tekken 3 style of the Mishima Style Fighting Karate. Devil Jin is categorized as a Mishima. Mishimas are categorized when they have all of the following: an Electric Wind God Fist (EWGF or Electric), a wavedash, a hellsweep, and a flash punch (notation: 1,1,2). This character is regarded as a high tier character due to him having all the tools needed to succeed as a Mishima without the tremendous amount of execution that comes with being a Mishima.

Key Moves

1. A fantastic punisher given to Mishima style characters. This move is better when hit confirmed as it can be launched punished if blocked.

2. This move is a good tool to close the distance and also induce a wallsplat or balcony break when the opportunity presents itself.

3. A move that can't be punished on blocked and is good for checking a crouching or a grounded opponent. When landed on Counter Hit, it will grant you the opportunity for a combo.

4. A feared move due to its speed and surprising range can be used to break floors or spike an opponent. Although, many players prefer just to do land the first hit to induce a combo.

5. Another feared move that is a staple in every Mishima, the electric is primarily used as a launcher but can be used for pressuring and a keepout tool to warn the incoming opponent. The electric version is achieved when you precisely time the d/f input with the "2" at the same time.

6. This move is a good poking tool and has two extensions. Although, many prefer to just use the first two hits of the first extension rather than the uppercut extension. However, the last hit of the first extension can be stepped right.

7. One of the few good low pokes that is good for checking the opponent and chipping away at their health.
