Skills

Jack-7

An interesting character originating from the first Tekken (1994), Jack is the name given to a series of killer robots. Maintaining the same bulky, muscular appearance throughout the Tekken series, these robots have been handed down to numerous corporations and scientists to deepen their destructive nature. However, one scientist by the name of Jane, began to restore memories to one of the Jack-2 series of robots, who had suddenly developed a conscience to rescue and protect her when she was a child. Determined to turn these killing machine into a friendly machine, Jane has spent numerous amount of years trying to attach the memories of previous Jack models to these newer models (Jack 7). As time passed, Jack can be seen as not only a killing machine but as an expressive and protective machine. For his playstyle, he is normally played with a central focus on abusive pokes and opportunities to land his ranged d/f+2 launcher.

Key Moves

1. Arguably his best low poke, this tool can be used to pressure the opponent. This move is equipped with an extension (D/B+1,1,1,2) but often times a single hit is preferred due to the extension not being natural.

2. Even after nerfing the tracking, this move is still a powerful tool to lockdown the opponent and even allows for follow up on hit. One follow up is d/b+1, which is the easiest; another option is another f,F+1. The most difficult option is a Just Frame Windup Uppercut as shown (referred to as The Blue Stuff within the community) and can be achieved by buffering the hcf input of the move during the recovery of f,F+1

3. Although -14 on block, this launcher is one of his most feared move due to the range at which it can connect. Many characters are not able to punish properly if the move is blocked at max range.

4. His one and only i10 move in his movelist is often used a panic move rather than a punisher. If this move counter hits the opponent, f,F+4 can be used as a guaranteed follow-up.

5. Another great tool is his d/f+1 (i14). A frame slower than the average i13 d/f+1, this is made up for the amount of range that it can connect at and the two extensions. One being his tailspin move, another as a small juggle starter if it connects and stop on the third hit, or a tool used to pushback the opponent. However, anything pass the first hit can be ducked to the its high property, therefore it is wise to hit confirm it or mixup the opponent.
