Kazumi Mishima

A new face to Tekken 7 but alluded to in past installments; Kazumi is the wife of Heihachi Mishima and mother to Kazuya Mishima. She is said to be founder of the Devil Gene and appears in her devil form in story mode and treasure battle. She is portrayed as a modest yet deceptive member of the Mishima clan, although originating from the Hachijo clan before marriage. She is categorized as a Mishima, although she lacks an Electric Wind God Fist and crouchdash/wavedash movement normally found in Mishima playstyles. Her playstle has a basic approach with an easy to use movelist with many great poking tools and great damage potential that comes with being a Mishima; moves such as flash punch and d/f+1,2. She has good mixup tools out of her fly stance and has phenomenal wall pressure tools.

Key Moves

1. d/f+1 is a great pressuring tool often used a way to keep opponents from stepping and comes with a hit confirmable extension that is good for splating near the wall.

2. Although nerfed in season 3 of Tekken 7, this move is still a staple in kazumi's play and can still be abused if used tactically.

3. A safe mid that is also a homing move provides an excellent strategy to stop stepping/walking opponents. It also serves a tailspin when used in combos.

4. A fantastic move that's a staple in Mishima style characters. This move is better when hit confirmed as it can be launched punished if blocked.

5. Kazumi is also equipped with a magic 4, allowing her to relieve opponent's pressuring and allows for a combo when paired with b+2 (as seen in video #3).

6. A great tool to close the distance and also offers a decent amount of tracking.

7. A normal hit launcher that is safe on block providing pressure to lock the opponent in place.
